Megan Stanford is a physical therapist passionate about helping people heal themselves. She believes our bodies are amazing at healing but sometimes get “stuck” and need some help through hands-on treatments and minor changes in our daily behaviors and movements to get back on track. Her work focuses on incorporating the critical “pillars of health” (fitness/movement, nutrition, sleep, stress management) to achieve the level of wellness we all deserve. She believes in empowering each person with knowledge to make simple life changes that help clients reach their goals.
Megan knew she wanted to be in healthcare at a young age and has always loved learning about how the body works and how to keep it functioning at its best. She received degrees in psychology and biology from Western Washington University before attending Pacific University where she received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
Megan has been a physical therapist for over 20 years. Before starting Stanford Wellness, she had felt that the care she was able to provide was dictated more by insurance companies than by the patient and healthcare providers. Traditional physical therapy is limited by insurance companies; Stanford Wellness and Physical Therapy is not. In this setting, we can collaborate with the client so we can create goals and a plan that best fits each individual's needs.
